Time
The RN507W unit combines atomic time so there’s no wondering whether the batteries have slowed the clock and if it might be behind. It receives radio signals from the U.S. Atomic Clock in Fort Collins, Colorado. Not only does it consistently adjusts the clock to within one second of official U.S. government across 4 time zones, but automatically adjusts the time for Daylight Savings Time as well. It features a 12 hour time format with calendar and day of the week. The day displays in English, Spanish, and French.
Weather
This atomic clock is a Public Alert Certified Device that features NOAA S.A.M.E. technology, which stands for Specific Area Message Encoding. SAME is the protocol used to encode the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and NOAA Weather Radio in the U.S. and Weather Radio Canada. It also features an indoor temperature display with user selectable Celsius or Fahrenheit, and a headset/speaker output for reduced volume.
